Minutes of the meeting 14 July 2008

Who was there: Alys, Andreas, Federica, Mike, Ursula

The meeting took place after a very nice session of Eurythmy and it was decided to mention this issue in the letter to the Freeman College and to the Tintagel Trust.

Bank account: Mike asked for a mandate from the Chair to open the bank account with Triados. Federica will prepare it by Wednesday.

Venues: Mike reported that Heeley Institute has 2 mornings available, Tuesdays and Fridays, and would be happy to offer the venue to us for £35 per morning (4 hours).

School group: Alys reported on the information she has gathered about registration for a school, from Bonny and from a variety of sources. She will continue to explore various options.

Institutional contacts: We had a discussion about the meeting held with the Freeman College and the Tintagel Trust. Federica and Ursula presented a draft letter which summarised the main points mentioned at the meeting. Changes were made to the letter. After a discussion about the usefulness of attaching more detailed business plans to it, it was decided to privilege speed over exhaustiveness, and send it out on Tuesday for delivery on Wednesday.

Way forward: It was decided to hold 2 sub-group meetings, one devoted to the Preschool group and one to the School group, with all parents and carers interested. It will thus be easier to understand needs and define a final plan for September.

The meeting of carers and parents of children aged 2-4 in September will take place on Wednesday, the 16th of July, at 1.30 at the Kindergarten. Andrea will bring a draft ‘contract’ specifying hours and costs for parents’ consideration.

The meeting of carers and parents of children aged 5-6 in September will take place on Friday, the 18th of July, at 10.30 on the Kindergarten premises (hopefully it will not rain!). Alys will be there to clarify any questions and to decide days and activities.
